Our workshop sessions are deliberately designed to help executives, technology leads and operational specialists adapt to market-led changes and overcome a realm of typical challenges that they will face as they look to either upskill or grow their departments. Whether the focus is delivering financial inclusion through payments, driving automated know-your-customer compliance through regulatory technology or a step by step guide on the path financial institutions should apply to adopting cloud-based technology, the FinTech Connect Live workshop hosts are there to help you achieve your departmental goals, and will explore the following issues in-depth through 8 workshops over the 2 days. Lasting between 45 minutes to 1 hour, workshops give you an opportunity to really get to grips with a subject and fully consider what it could mean for your businesses’ day-to-day operations.

12:30 – 13:30 How to manage KYC as you expand internationally

As a result of ever-evolving and siloed approaches to international regulation, the absence of global know-your-customer registries and a plethora of thin-layering risk management solutions on the regtech market, it can be difficult for established financial services providers and fast-growth fintechs alike to know where to begin with KYC compliance. One thing is for certain, non-compliance harnesses inherit reputation risk and costs firms an untold amount of value on a re-sell. As such, a bespoke approach which carefully straddles the ‘fin’ and ‘tech’ divide is needed. Representatives from TMF Group will be on hand to provide guidance on the strategy needed to help your compliance team avoid hiccups in compliance by day and sleep sound at night.

Host: Steffen Ruigrok, Director of Investor Compliance & Regulatory Services, TMF Group

The second part of the workshop will be more technical but can still be followed by managers and stakeholders nonetheless.

Host: Dan Rao, Senior Solution Architect, Fiorano Software

How and with whom? What’s working, what’s not? What are the barriers? What are the incentives? What are the key risks and how are they best mitigated?
